  • Used as 2% solution in hot or boiling water (0.5kg in 25 litres).
  • Particularly used for disinfection of premises after exposure to infectious disease.
  • Effective against viruses.
  • Caustic, irritant - rubber gloves, clothing and boots must be worn during application, and eyes/face protected from splashing.
  • Corrosive to painted/varnished surfaces, textiles, aluminium.
  • Does not damage bare wood, enamelware, earthenware, most metals.
