Release area for hand-reared Lepus europaeus - European hare. The leveret should be acclimatised to the local environment and recognising and eating locally-available foods before it is released.

If possible, check if there are hares in the chosen site; this will confirm that the habitat is suitable for hares. If at all possible find out where the nearest nature reserve is and enquire if hares are present; if they are, ask for permission to release the hand-reared leveret on the reserve.
