Carcinogens in vegetation / foodstuffs

• A variety of substances are recognized as being carcinogenic that is, having the potential to injure DNA in such a way as to increase the likelihood of tumour formation (neoplasia).
• These substances may occur naturally, or be ingested as environmental contaminants on, or incorporated into, food.
• The concentration of such substances may be increased up the food chain.

• Multicentric Mesenchymal Tumours (Multicentric neurofibrosarcoma, Liposarcoma, Disseminated fibrosarcomas, Lipomatosis/fibromatosis, Spindle cell sarcoma)
