Romanowsky stain - "group of stains (e.g. Giemsa, Leishmann, Wright) containing various mixtures of a thiazide dye plus eosin. Blood cells are stained in characteristic patterns by these dyes and can be classified based on this staining. The name is from the Russian physician D.L. Romanowsky, 1861-1921." (B290) .
