Brief Overview / Significance
  • The Act restricts the possession and supply of "controlled" drugs. Such drugs (including some drugs which may be used e.g. for the purposes of chemical restraint or analgesia (pain relief) may be supplied only to a person who is legally entitled to possess a controlled drug for administration for veterinary purposes in accordance with the directions of a veterinary surgeon.
