Scottish Natural Heritage is a Non-Departmental Public Body, which advises ministers and the Scottish Parliament on wildlife conservation, access to the countryside and landscape issues. In Scotland if fulfils the remit which previous to 1992 was covered by the Nature Conservancy Council and The Countryside Commission.

SNH has offices throughout Scotland. It runs a number of National Nature Reserves.

We do not encourage people to present us with wildlife casualties. The SSPCA are the relevant organisation for such cases.
