Notes

This information has been taken directly from the Management Guidelines for the Welfare of Zoo Animals - Red Squirrels Website:

For the past three years I have been working on the Management Guidelines For The Welfare Of Zoo Animals (Red Squirrels). Research for this document has relied heavily on the expertise of squirrel keepers in the UK, Japan, Holland and Germany. This is produced on the Website as a `living document`. Your thoughts, observations and contributions are welcome and, if considered relevant, will be included in the text and so hopefully produce a really useful reference source for squirrel keepers. Please feel free to quote any of the included information.
