British Airways Communities and Conservation programme (BACC) is a British Airways initiative to assist community and conservation projects. BACC are valued sponsors of the Wildlife Information Network.

British Airways Communities and Conservation (BACC)
Since 1984 British Airways has offered assistance to community and conservation projects around the world. Our aim is to support programmes in and around communities that we fly to, focusing on the key themes of Education and Youth Development, Sustainable Tourism, Environment, Heritage, and the support of staff-led projects within these areas.

How BACC works
British Airways currently supports over 100 community and conservation projects. These relationships are long-standing and are reviewed on a yearly basis; support is usually given for several years.

Each project is reviewed every March and, if successful, is given an allocation of flights and free cargo consignments for use during the financial year. This enables these projects to redirect crucial funds towards essentials such as equipment, education, and sustainable tourism, for the benefit of the environment and/or the host community.
