Individual Methods for Enclosure Design
Stone Shelter

The methods outlined in this section relate to features of enclosure construction and layout which may be used to enhance the living conditions of animals, including the use of shelter areas, vegetation, viewing platforms and climbing structures.

Stone Shelter

Method A recessed stone alcove in the outdoor enclosure, large enough for 2-3 large animals to sit in together.
Species Persian Leopard, Lion, Meerkat.
Purpose A shelter area, which may also be used as a platform to sit on top of when looking out of the enclosure.
