Individual Methods for Feeding Methods - Devices
Insect Dispenser Tube

The feeding methods outlined in this section require prior preparation in terms of making devices for use by the animals, including items that must be opened or manipulated to obtain food, frames to hold food items, and containers that randomly release food such as insects.

Insect Dispenser Tube

Method Plastic pipe with a series of holes drilled along it, hung above roof mesh with mealworms or other live insects and straw inside. Worms fall through holes at irregular intervals, providing an unpredictable food source.
Species Monkeys.
Purpose Promote foraging for fallen mealworms, and provides an unpredictable source of food.
Pro Can remain operating without having to refill for several days.
Con Monkey may wait underneath the device waiting for mealworms to fall.
