Individual Methods for Feeding Methods - Device
Wicker Baskets

The feeding methods outlined in this section require prior preparation in terms of making devices for use by the animals, including items that must be opened or manipulated to obtain food, frames to hold food items, and containers that randomly release food such as insects.

Wicker Baskets

Method One or two baskets packed with food treats and straw and tied together. Hung from the ceiling by a rope or just placed in the enclosure.
Species Most Monkeys except Ring-tailed Lemur.
Purpose Food puzzle requiring considerable manipulatory skill (or strength).
Pro Cheap, and requires a lot of effort to gain the reward. Baskets are obtained as waste from shop displays.
Con Do not last long.
