Individual Methods for Feeding Methods - Practices
Multiple Feeds

The practices outlined in this section relate to methods of food presentation that do not require the use of special materials or devices. Scatter feeds, use of specific locations, and methods of ensuring that specific animals receive required medications and dietary supplements are dealt with.

Multiple Feeds

Method Pellet feed in the morning, followed by scatter feeds of peanuts and fruit in mid and late afternoon.
Species Peccaries, Tapir, Babirusa.
Purpose Provide variability, increases foraging time and visibility of the animals. Ensures the animals will eat the balanced-diet pellet foods, as they will be hungry in the morning.
