Individual Methods for Feeding Methods - Practices
Separate Feeds

The practices outlined in this section relate to methods of food presentation that do not require the use of special materials or devices. Scatter feeds, use of specific locations, and methods of ensuring that specific animals receive required medications and dietary supplements are dealt with.

Separate Feeds

Method Animals are fed in different parts of the enclosure, ideally when separated by a door.
Species Lion.
Purpose To prevent aggression at feeding times. If two or more large cats are fed together, it is common that they will fight over the same piece of meat.
