The Irish Seal Sanctuary is a voluntary organisation in operation for 15 years now. It is a regd. charity receiving no State or Government funding. In that time almost 200 seals have been rescued, rehabilitated and released back to the wild. Seal releases are the largest wildlife events in Ireland, attracting up to 3,000 people at a time.
