Plumpton College is committed to developing as the region's major
provider of quality education, training, consultancy and other
activities associated with the needs of land based industries and
rural businesses.
Originally established in 1926 as the
county's agricultural College, we still hold on to a rich
heritage, and have established a growing reputation of excellence
throughout the many land-based industries we represent.
Our 650 hectare estate includes a mixed farm,
three commercial vineyards and a winery, a riding school, stables,
an outdoor arena, a stud unit, machinery workshops, horticultural
glass and poly tunnels, a retail plant centre, extensive gardens
and an animal unit, as well as an advanced Resources Centre with
the latest computer equipment.
Covering a vast number of courses and
training in landbased industries, with some of the most advanced
learning facilities and equipment in the country, Plumpton College
offers more. From
Farming to Forestry, Animal Care to Horse Studies, Wine Studies to
Floristry, there's something here for everyone, whatever your
goals and ambitions.
Our skilled tutors are not only chosen for
their teaching expertise, but also for their professional
experience and understanding of their particular industry. We
keenly promote an active social life for all our students,
providing sport and relaxation facilities, and a calender of
